Well, of course the PO told me the bike had progressive springs in it. When I changed fork seals I found otherwise. Now it has progressive springs and shocks.Trapped in time. Surrounded by evil. Low on gas.

I fired her up in spite of a weak battery. She was stubborn but did come to life before the battery was exhausted. So today I will be putting the battery on the charger for a full charge as compared to the battery minder charge it has been getting.

plugs
I pulled the plugs and checked/cleaned them - 2 inner were tan/good. The 2 outers were sooty but OK - cleaned checked gap and replaced - fired up quicker anyway!
Now to figure out why running richer in outer cylinders and sooting them up.

Cleaned plugs on wknd - 3rd cyclinder out came the helicoil with the plug attached - didn't even know one was there. As per the expert of Tinman905, tonight will put "red locktite" on the threads & put her back in - will let dry tonight - hopefully will come out tommorow & then will have antisieze (sp) on all plug threads. Then its a ride to work yee haw! - geez always an adventure - Dan'81 XS1100 LH - Midnight Special - been lookin' a long time for this one.
