I have red tail lights with dual filaments on a project, but haven't tried it on the road yet. The system is legal on every trailer I've ever seen....

      Ohio law reads

"Equipment regulations: State law requires that every motorcycle
operated on public roadways must be equipped with the following:
      • At least one, but no more than two headlights
      • At least one taillight/brakelight
      • A white license plate light
      • A horn which can be heard for at least 200 feet
      • At least one rearview mirror positioned so that the rider has a clear
view of the roadway behind the vehicle
      22
      • Handlebars and grips that are mounted so that they are no more than
      15 inches above the seat
      • Turn signals on all motorcycles manufactured after January 1, 1968"

Nothing says the turn signals and brake light cannot be one and the same, or that more than one brake light is not permitted.

But I don't live in Ohio. LOL
Pa will have some rule to stop me from doing what I want. My local Yamaha shop is trying to make me put a front fender on for inspection.
All the Harley bikes seem to have no rules.

I think those Harleys have "Inspection Mode" and "Bar-hop Mode." I see lots of badmen hanging on to high ape bars that I know can't be legal.

Yep, they leave the handlebars a tad loose, so they can pull 'em down in a hurry.

Xs11lover, those buckhorns are almost ape hangers.

I'd like to find a seat like that too. You can see my attempts at making one.

When you riding slow and sloppy, it doesn't matter much. They can steer with their feet.

That's exactly what I've been looking for in a seat. Wish I knew what it came off, so I could search better.

The front fender also serves as a fork brace, so if you pull the fender you need to put on a brace, to keep the forks in alignment under stress.

                          Hi XS11lover,
I don't see any rear light at all? How about switching the amber lenses for red ones, getting a $20 6-lamp to 4-lamp trailer light converter from NAPA and swapping in dual filament bulbs and bulb holders?
That way you have twin tail lights and combo brake/turn lights all in two lamps.

That looks real nice and it's nice to see it done without destroying the bike. It's also nice to see the attention to detail and clean machine.

I've been tightening all the bolts to spec, put a liner in the tank, and getting the brakes around, carbs should be ready soon.
