The shocks are regular xs11 standard shocks, 12.5 inch I think. I'm looking for a virago 1100 set, I believe they are 11.5 and fit...??
I'll take it out in the driveway on Sunday and get a side shot. I tried one in the garage and you couldn't see anything. The bike isn't even close to done,It's been in pieces for a few months. but a least it looks like a motorcycle again.

I got the seat on ebay.....they didn't know what bike it was from...so the price was cheap. Some Harley. I just cut a little out of the front with a dremel. It made it fit the tank nice. I made a tongue and bolted it onto the bottom, to fit the part in the frame. Just bolted the back to the fender. There are threaded holes in the bottom...at some piont I'll finish it.

Nice work! I hope you are planning on ditching the HUGE signals. I wish I had your seat modifying skills...

              Yeah, nice job!

I think you might be able to get a set of 11.5" for an HD Sportster, and they should fit.

              Good work!

I don't know, I kind of like the "HUGE" signals. I do need a brake light of some sort.
I may grab a midnight fender and do it again. I think a black fender would blend in better with the frame. I've got a pile of other things to finish, I'll come back to the seat and fender later.

                        Brake light idea:
switch out the orange turn signal lenses for red ones, swap in dual element bulbs and wire them up to run as turn/tail/brake lights.
                        Legal? I have no idea.

I did the above on my bike in addition to the standard stop light but it would work without it as well. I even have a pair of red lenses I could sell you cheap, I got mine on ebay and they came as a set of 4.

Brake light idea....good idea, I'll see if it's legal.

The carbs, foot pegs, shifter ect. will be back on at some point. I just got it together to the point of looking like a bike again. It's not much fun to ride right now.

Hey, I know its legal in addition to a brake light -> how I have mine set up, I'm not sure its legal to use the signals as your "only" brake light. I know thats how they do it on trailers but... it probably depends on local laws and such anyways.
