Temperament is considered to be good. Like a domestic cat but function more like a dog. They like to play fetch, can be trained as quickly as a dog, like to be walked on a leash and love water. It's not uncommon for them to join you in the shower or swim around in a full tub.

In the fifties I lived with friends of my Dad for a couple years.
Dell had a big black cat (about 15 pounds called “Boots”).
When it was out of the house sometimes it would lay in wait from under the car. It liked to go after kids on bikes .
Would have been even better if he could have fetched em too.
Yeah... That look has me thinking that my dog might just look like a "bigger" meal to these girls.

Wow 2 pretty kitties...I have been a cat owner all of my life...My observations on a cat's longevity... depends upon if the cat lives its life indoors or outdoors. My conclusion is that indoor cats will far exceed the lifespan of an outdoor cat. I have learned this the hard way. If you truly love them and care then you will never allow them outside. So many hazards out there...other animals ..pissed off neighbors,cars...sicko people. etc... Its a dangerous world out there.

These cats will be indoor cats. They will have an exercise wheel to keep their energy levels in check. They are a pretty new breed as cats go. They have a life span of 17 to 20 years with no known health issues reported to date for the breed. We can hardly wait to get them.

Some savannah breeders are using coon cats in their programs to maintain large size.
I'm not paying for breeding rights and the 2nd one came with a 25% discount and was already not one of the costly ones in the litter. From the research I have done these cats are not even "really" a good pet until at least F3 and later breedings. Even F3 can be a handful and spray everywhere even if fixed. I don't want any of the problems that the earlier generations can bring with them even if their size is impressive. The earlier generations are also the most costly and rarest. the breeder I'm getting these ones from happens to be in town so no shipping, special paperwork or other difficulties.
We can hardly wait to get them.
