    Hi Equi,
us sidecar guys laugh at trikes but that's a dispute for the SCT site rather than here. Go sidecar Ivan! It's better to be thought an eccentric than to be mistaken for a person who can't balance a solo. Even if in your case, (just temporarily and only when it's stopped) that's the truth.
Besides, sidecars can carry more stuff than trikes can and are chick magnets too.

Very cool and very quick work...maybe you should slow down so Ivan doesn't get too antsy to get back on the bike and start doing wheelies with a busted pelvis!!!LOL

If I go sidecar, I want one of the old Urals with the machine gun mount. I'll mount it backwards, and just wait for some texting punk to try and run my over.

Once again let me know if I can help. I could put together a connector pack if you need one...

BTW, I'd deal you out of the junk MNS engine just for the cases if you were closer. I've always wanted to build a midnight standard but odds are I'll end up having to paint the engine myself.

The engine on that MNS had about a gallon of water in it mixed with a little oil. All of the cases were in pretty rough shape and would need to be repainted.

Thanx anyway. The offer still stands for a packet of new connectors to spruce up the wiring...

Well... we got a bit of a late start, but we had to swap out the whole wiring harness this morning before we actually could start back up. After we got the harness where we thought we wanted it, we threw the motor up in it...

When we got the motor in, we looked up and it happened to be noon.. so decided it was time for this..

                        Here's a little further along...

                        And finally all done.

We messed up somehow and apparently got everything hooked up right. It fired up and sounded good. Russ took it for a ride and everything seems to be working as designed. Maybe this video will work..

That is really cool, guys! It's nice to know there are still people around willing to put this kind of sweat-equity into someone else's stuff, just out of friendship. Not many people out there would be willing to do what you guys have done. I look forward to seeing Ivan back on 2 wheels again.

BTW, don't forget that Wal-Mart seat pad he had on there! Don't want to lose that!
