I wasn't trying to volunteer anyone for a rally location, I was talking about XS'ers who might be available to help with his bike problems. I don't normally attend rallies, but a trip to the Tillamook Air Museum might be fun.

I was considering hosting a western meeting of the minds here but the truth is we don't have the space to do so. I'd love to put together a tech day or tech rally here in Oregon but I don't know where we could hold it.

Sounds like a start, do you know of a place we could hold it?

Hey Geezer Larry R here in kelso wa. sorry but just spotted your post.... I' only an hour or a little more up I 5 ... my 79 SF had a bit of a buz around 4500 RPM that went a way higher or lower,, it has not developed into anything, I think most of it was comming from a funky 4 to 1 exhaust that you cut off a stock special muffler and shoved it as far up the megaphone as possible then put a screw in to keep it in place... my LG has the stock exhaust and seems to not have the same viberation... anyway I would be happy to help and have a good place to work.. you are welcome, just needs to be on my days off. or I could come to your place, send a personal message or call 360 636 2638. and going for bike rides is always good.

Hey Tarzan. Battle Ground is about 10 miles North East of Vancouver. Detroit Lake sounds like it may be good. I just have to get together with Geezer, and make sure my bike is ok for the run.

                    radical123,

I think Silver Falls is by far the best ride of the three that you listed, unfortunatly it's also the most congested when you get there. Willamette Mission State Park would be a good choice for a get together this time of year.

Also radical123 where you parked on D street on the 16th, I spoted a Midnight just down the road from me that afternoon?

How about the weekend of September 12 & 13? There have already been a few good suggestions for where but I don't have time to look into it. Anybody else want to research a place to gather?

The 12th and/or the 13th of September works for me. Is this going to be just a gathering in a park somewhere or a get together for a ride?

12th and 13th look good for me as well. Are we camping overnight? I have not got everything together yet for camping, but will have shortly. Anyone got a recomendation on a good lightweight sleeping bag?

I'll let you guys pick the location. I'd prefer something that we could get to by back roads for those that want to take the scenic rout.

Over night is good. I'm thinking we get there late on Friday and then have the option to stay until Sunday if we choose.
