Scott, Glad to hear you got it fixed, we'll have to talk a little about cam tensioners at the park.

Yep, you got it, Larry. It's looking good so far!

Now I just have to figure out what I want to pack (my trusty TL-29 or a M-203) and where to stash the rain gear.

        Regards,

I would think the TL-29 should be sufficient, the M-203 seems a tad bit overkill to me.

Maybe you know something that I don't.

By all means do remember the rain gear, you might just need it.

I had not thought much about rain gear, but i guess i should get some. That is in Oregon, so the weather could change in 5 minutes. I hope we have great weather though. Rain is a bummer.

Hot Button thread about pocket knives.

The '203 is for the bike if there's another spontaneous part breakage. The enemy wouldn't know what it was anyway so forget them but no friendlies should come to harm from attempting to use any of its parts.

By all means do remember the rain gear, you might just need it.
This should be a fun trip with the bike! During my last adventures up in Oregon and Washington it rained off and on the entire time; mostly off but enough on that I was really glad I was in a car and a couple of times it looked as though a boat would have been a better idea.

Yeah, there are muchos mojados... I don't want to seem personally paranoid but I was planning to visit some friends up in Canada -- "It's in case I meet a polar bear or this pesky bike breaks down, honest!"

I got seal replaced Friday night then had to go help a friend cut timber, Sat and Sun. Got home today and installed new speedo that I got from Andrea. Then took trophy wife for a 40 mile spin and everything seems a O.K.!!
Looks like I am ready for the rally

Thanks, Brant! I got this bike to ride it , not to work on it and admire its divine XS presence-ness in the garage (although it does look pretty good)!

Depending entirely on how the bike runs this trip I may be able to ride the loop to Colorado, Oklahoma, Texas, then back home to California. Look out! <laughing>

I broke my moratorium on not upgrading my bike so I would have the Harley mufflers on for the trip. I don't mind loud but the rattling from those old mufflers was more than I could take...
