            Hi Wildkat,
yeah, if one is riding nekkid wind burn would be a problem without a fairing, eh?
I just had this mental image of myself rubbing skin cream on a nekkid lady rider but I can't see who it is because she's wearing riding boots, gloves and a mirror visored fullface.

                Define "ugly"

Is Ivan's cherry bomb set-up ugly? Not if it lets the bike run good and why shouldn't they be red? Is dull boring chrome or black the only choice?
Is Ivan ugly? I dunno, I never met him.
Is a Vetter fairing ugly? Not when it's keeping the rain off; then it's f**king beautiful.
Are bolt-on Harley chrome farkles ugly? That depends. If they make the bike perform better, no. If they just hang there flashing their chrome, yes they are.
And on a personal note, is a sidecar ugly? If it lets me take my wife to places I'd otherwise have to go to alone, no! It's f**king beautiful too.

                  Fred,

A sidecar is probably practical as heck... but no, I would definately have to disagree... they are f**king ugly! lol lol. This isn't one of Ivan's choices... but I'd have to say that there's a good possibility that they're even uglier than his a@@!

Practical is one thing.. purdy is another.

                    Hi Tod,
how can you say that? It's an elegant streamlined shape, it's painted an exquisite shade of orange to match the bike and it carries my beautiful French Canadian wife with me.
                    F**kin' gorgeous, man!
But compared to Ivan's a@@? I dunno, like I said, I've never seen it and I doubt he'd ever post a photo.

I'll be working that out as soon as I can stand to ride the 45 miles to the shop. At 30º its a tad on the chilly side.

I think I will machine a bracket and weld it to the inside of the muffler, which will hang in the stock hole in front of the rear foot peg. Then I will bead blast the whole thing and give it some header paint. I am hoping it looks better then.

Thanks Fred in Toon for your many posts. Pity Saskatchewan is so far away or we would all stop by for a chin wag.
