    After seeing Ivan

Well after seeing Ivan's pic he posted I will have to vote that the muffler is uglier than he is. I have one 11 with Vetter and one nekked, I like em both. Sorry Fred but sidecars aint my cup-o-tea for sure.

Hey madmax-im, may I ask where did you get that windscreen at. Does it work with deflecting the wind? Or does it look better then it works. Sure does look good tho. I wouldn't mind something like that for myself.

        Hi Rasputin,
Ivan's pic shows him hiding behind a gorilla mask. Someone who has to do that has to be pretty darn ugly.
Your post leads me to believe that Kat saying she rode nekkid applies to her bike rather than to herself. Now I'm crushed.
But have you ever ridden one? Be warned. Sidecars are addictive. There is no cure. You will be permanently hooked.

For clarification, because I tend to get my self in enough trouble without misinterpretations, my previous post had nothign to do with ugly things on an XS. Just that age old Jeff Foxworthy concept of what men are thinking.

            Hey Fred,
I think a sidecar would be cool.My dog gets his feelings hurt when I leave the house. But I'd have to have one with ,and one without. As I wouldnt want to drag that thing around everywhere. It seems like it might be a little awkward to steer.

Oh man, can I ever relate. My German Shepherd starts moping as soon as he sees me lacing up my boots. He lives for going in my truck with me.

I really wanted to buy one of those Dodge Challengers but somehow I just knew there was no way I'd put his shedding butt in the back seat so I went with another pickup....just to appease my doggie.

I have ZERO interest in a sidecar though.

Which bike you talking abt? If you mean the bike with the big Windjammer...it works quite well...if you mean the bike with the small windscreen...well it looks better than it actually works. It came with the bike and I have no idea what make it is.It actually does deflect air from the upper body but then it all hits you at head level...

                      Hi Tarzan,
your tagline plainly says you have more than one bike so what is the problem?
Sidecar rigs are not awkward to steer but the do steer in an entirely different way.
(technically, sidecar rigs cannot countersteer while solos must countersteer so you steer a rig like it was a lopsided quad or snowmobile)
The great thing is, they cannot fall over so gravel roads are no longer a nightmare and if you live where it snows half the year they add two months to the riding season.
But propagandise for sidecars as I might, there are folks who take their dogs riding solo.
Little dogs can ride in a tank bag (except in Australia where it is forbidden)
while a medium dog can sit in a padded high-sided tray mounted like a luggage rack.
But for a full size dog, a sidecar is the best way to go.
And I reiterate my warning:- Sidecars are addictive. There is no cure. "once on a hack, you'll never go back"

Pretty much the ugliest thing I've ever seen on an xs1100 is ME in the morning if I didn't have time for a SS&S, didn't have coffee and was out of smokes. First stop would be the corner store for smokes :-)

Yeah I was talking about the small one. Thanks for letting me know. Sure does look good on there. Makes it look sharp. But if I'm going to have any wind hit me, might as well hit all of me.

                                Hi Phil,
Wawa is also the home town of my brother-in-law Zephyr and his wife Roza. It's one hell of a way from Saskatoon but a reasonable drive from Espanola where the majority of my wife's extended family (there's 'undreds of 'em) live. And yes, the North Shore is really pretty in summer. In winter it's like being in Saskatoon with ice covered hills and sharp curves to cope with along with the cold.
