Ugliest thing ever put on an XS

Even the nicest vetter setup on a nice looking bike looks better without it's fairing. JMO

I agree but I've come to respect the fairing. If your just gonna buzz around town and attempt to impress naked is the way. If you gonna travel though the fairing is the way to go.

I never rode with one until recently. I put one on the okieSPECIAL to head off to Arkansas last fall because it was getting into the 40s in the mornings and I didn't want to freeze my azz. Good thing because Tod and I ended up riding back to Tulsa to get a part for the alternator on his 81. I did about 450 or 500 miles that day/night. We got back to the motel around 1 or 2 am. My comfort meter pegged and now I think I'm spoiled.

The only one I have to impress is me.

To stick to the thread I think the ugliest thing I've seen put on an XS is mud and grass from crashing in the ditch.

No, he's the ugly guy that all the guys bring to the bar to make them look better to the gals. Also putting Greg on any bike makes the bike look better by comparison no matter how bad the bike looks .

Then again, most of us have bikes with the parts actually on the frame instead of in boxes on shelves in the garage Joe , so we can have him sit on our bikes to make them look good .

AND.... Most of us have bikes and parts that aren't all bashed up, because we could stick with our New Years resolution to drop a couple tons, and DIDN't fly down to Micky Dees for a Big Mac attack and slam into some poor schlubs truck doin' a buck fiddy!

At least my COULD get down to Micky Dees without being carried in the back of a pickup truck . And it's all fixed up now, in some ways better than before (ignition cover matches the year of the engine now), the rest is at least as good as before.
