Anyone seen or heard from that guy up at Clearlake? "Something1969" or some such name, the guy who's been biking since the Sixties?

Soccer4m...I'm having a vision...I see...the fog clears a little...a sub in your room on Friday...you're riding north, the wind lapping at your sleeping bag straps...you arrive in time for BBQ and brews...you head back south on Sunday, all relaxed and refreshed in time for CSTs....

BTW, I have two multi-person tents and a 1-2 man tent...anyone want to borrow to avoid hauling their own?

I just checked, all my camping gear fits in my hardbags and trunk. Sweet.
If I/we (Ron) leave right after I get off work (8am) then I/we'd be there at noon or earlier.
There's always the option of me comming home and sleeping a few hours and waiting for some Bay Area people and caravaning it.
              Any suggestions?

                    Hey Pat...
Ray is getting off work a little early Friday and plans on leaving straight from San Jose. I'm going over 156 to Gilroy and meeting him at a resturant over there that he recommended somewhere on 101. Of course this isn't set in stone and could be altered if it means meeting up witcha and riding as a trio.
Maybe we could even include MRO.
I look forward to trying to keep up with you again Pat. Wait a minit, you aren't going to be on "Smoky" are you? If so I'd better try to stay ahead of you.

My recently re-built, hopped up '79 Special caught fire and burned everything from the top of the engine up: gas tank, wiring, seat, & melted my windshield all over the front of the bike. Just bought a 1980 Special that has been non oped for 9 years. My Skoot will rise from the ashes and be re named "The Phoenix!"

I'll be on the E. The LG is still in peices all over the garage. If my family would leave me alone (my main reason for going on this ride) I would have it done.
I'm just putting that weekend, nothing taxing.

E.Liberty, I think we met at the first Tahoe gathering. There's a group photo, my wife has the cast on her foot, and you're on the left talking on a cell? Guess I was pretty impressive, eh? (Canadian content)

It looks like 12-15, depending on late wuss-outs and "maybes" who show up. Probably just right for a fast-group/slow-group ride.

Still not sure if I can make it. Tent offer sounds good tho.

Count me in for Saturday only. What time does the ride to Yosemite start? I'll be coming up from Merced. I'd like to meet some of the guru's who've help me over the years.
