How about April 13/14, Friday and Saturday? Last weekend of spring break, if you teach. Anyone have a problem riding on Friday the 13th.
Whew! I nearly missed this thread 'cause I'd been watching the Rallies forum!

I'm scheduled to work Friday but I may be able to get off. What's the plan for Saturday?

The plan for Saturday is have breakfast in camp, ride around the Gold Country or Yosemite, as we decide, lunch at a restaurant, ride some more, then back to camp for BBQ tri-tip.

          Hey Loho-
SWMBO sez we have a tent that I can pack, but I haven't seen it yet. We have been "two ships passing in the night," if you knowwhutImean. Anyway, if the tent offer is still open I may need it.
My better half is ill. I thought she may be having a stroke, but we think now that she may have caught a bug that's going around. She is a "quick sketch" artist and has a concession on "Fishermans Warf" in Monterey. She handles lots of filthy money and unconciously sticks her hand in her mouth. Ya pick up lotsa bugs that way. It's gonna hurt ye auld pocketbook having her sick on Easter weekend.
I sure hope I can make this rally. I look forward to seeing you all!

My recently re-built, hopped up '79 Special caught fire and burned everything from the top of the engine up: gas tank, wiring, seat, & melted my windshield all over the front of the bike. Just bought a 1980 Special that has been non oped for 9 years. My Skoot will rise from the ashes and be re named "The Phoenix!"

I have a 4-5 man tent and a solo tent which I'll bring. You guys can work out the accommodations when you get there.

The LG isn't back together, tho it might be by the rally but it will stay home.
The E is (still) having charging issues.
My plan is to go home after work (clock out at 8 AM) and shower and change clothes, maybe breakfast.
I'm heading out at about 10 AM, will have me there about 11:30-noon cruising easy.

I will be there in the early afternoon, as SWMBO is driving the meat wagon and has to work at least a half day...

My plan is to leave the San Jose area about 12:30. I should meet up with E.Liberty about 1:00pm in Gilroy, and we should be there about 3:30. I will be packing all my gear, and I did get a replacement gauge set on the bike. It now has 40K miles, not 80K.

I checked the weather on the tube tonight and it looks like a go in that respect. Economics is iffy and SWMBO has had a splitting head ache for 5 days now.
I've taken her to emergency twice this weekend. If she dosn't get better I may not be going anywhere. It looks like it's going to be a last minit thing.

                        Screwed week-end

Well lads, it looks like I'm not going to be able to make it. I'm low on mulah, SWMBO is sick, and other domestic considerations.
Guess I'll have to settle for going on tha Ghost Mntn. Rider's First Days of Summer Run. Riding with 600 or so Harleys just won't be the same as riding with a dozen Xs's. And I guess MRO will have to be the oldest geezer after all.

I have sent Ray with the mission of emplanting the idea of a summer meet around here. O.K., it isn't Lake Tahoe, or Yosemity: all we have to offer is the Pacific Ocean, Redwoods, Hwy 9 and Skyline Drive, Alices Resturant, the steam train ride at Roaring Camp and word class vintners, but maybe we could get a couple of you over here. Maybe you could suffer through it.

I hope the weather holds out for you and you have a safe and glorious ride!

Well, while you guys are out having fun, I'll be intensely doing research getting ready for a presentation on Monday. However, I am glad to say that after the summer, school will no longer keep me from a Cali-Rally

I hate to pile on to "Can't Make It" list, but... my in-laws are visiting from Alaska...etc. I'll watch the forums and try to meet up with all you XSives the next time around.
