Well, I guess I'm now the "old geezer". I should be out of work about 12:30, depending on a phone call with Hawaii. I need to get two computers up on Mauna Kea BEFORE I can "Ghost" for the rest of the "work" day.
I have rain gear, and I'm ready. I just NEED my coffee in the morning, and I'm good.

Sorry, last minute change of plans prevent me from showing. You've done a lot of work on this, thanks LoHo. Have fun. Yosemite will be beautiful this time of year.

Well, you guys missed the first annual Elbonia Rally. Yosemite was great, except for the rain and traffic. My wife had told me (and has since reminded me) that we should have picked a weekend later in the year, but I knew better, plus who's afraid of "20% chance of PM showers?" That turned into a steady rain from 10am to after 8pm on Saturday.

Thanks to those who attended and made it a fun time in spite of the rainy day:

Ron Veil and his amphibious tent.
          Pat Kelly for working security.
Diver Ray and his universal expertise.
Tkat and the lovely Carolyn, with Rocky, er, Vinnie, the attack pup.

We'll do it again some other, dryer, time...

Sorry to hear about the lousy weather. The Ghost Mntn. Riders run suffered low attendance as well due to rain. Sunday was clear but blustery. I spent saturday with my poor sick SWMBO. The karmic returns are worth it.

Old bikers never die, they're just out of sight!

My recently re-built, hopped up '79 Special caught fire and burned everything from the top of the engine up: gas tank, wiring, seat, & melted my windshield all over the front of the bike. Just bought a 1980 Special that has been non oped for 9 years. My Skoot will rise from the ashes and be re named "The Phoenix!"
            I've been riding since 1959.

              Too early...

Well, I started the idea with a date of around June 1, and it got changed to a date I couldn't attend. I guess I'm lucky. Still gonna do a June run.

Thank you to Mr and Mrs LoHo and lil LoHo for hosting a wonderful time.
I don't care 'bout no steenkin rain. We'd have gotten wet at Bridal Veil falls anyway.
Looking forward to the next "shut-up Ray" rally

Yep - 'gotta agree with Pat:
the LoHos did a GREAT job at hosting the XS/CA/rally
even *IF* the weather was less than favorable.
real good mixture of people (and Vinnie the pup)

It was a pleasure and a honor to finally meet TKat (LOVE his fork brace!!!!)

I got a LOT of fotos from DiverRay and am gonna ask for some from LoHo and will do a website for it:

                  ****stay tuned****

So I'll keep talking, and say the rally was great! LoHo and family did a great job, and I'd like to let everyone on the board know it. The rain did "dampen" things, but proved to be a blessing in disguise.
Now I'll have to get with E.Liberty, and plan a "Coast/Redwoods" rally. I hope we can do even half the job LoHo did.

Ray's right, the rain kept out the riffraff! And Ray, Tkat kept you from being the oldest by a couple of decades.

Ray, there's a KOA halfway between Santa Cruz and Monterey, but you'll have to move fast, as they sell out during summer weekends...

LoHo, I was going to use E.Liberties front yard! We also have a great State Park with camping close by. I can get a motel for the price of the dirt at the KOA.

Hey, waitaminit. Use my front lawn for what?
Just kidding. Of course I would accomodate a couple of campers and maybe a couch crasher. There are a couple of parks nearby where we could have a BBQ, and if we reserved far enough ahead, probably a campsite or two.
