            • Sound

Since I finished the LH and started clocking miles on it I 've found that the sound is different between the bikes. Both have the original exhausts but the SF is a deeper throatier sound and the LH is a bit higher sharper tone. Heads turn quicker with the LH.

              • That's a fine pair of bikes you have there, Mack. I'm a bit curious. Are brakes any better on your Midnight than the SF? Are the Midnight brakes linked like the XJ or a Moto Guzzi?

                • My '80 G?

I last posted Feb. '11 when I found this site to share I recently got a XS1100. Here's a pic of my purchase.

Since then I really haven't done much to it, except ride it. Took it in to a local cycle mechanic this "spring" to have him give it a tune-up, then the next day took it on a ride to visit my dad 100 miles away. That was great.

                        • My ride

So I finally found a minute to post a pic of the bike I bought in February. Looks to be 100% stock. I bought it with 6300 miles on it. It's got 6700 now. The best part is that it's not really been cleaned. I gotta shine her up.

                          Let's see if I know how to post a pic . . .

                              Hey Cuda,

Thanks man. Appreciate the props. I also know that you and I are among the few northeasterners here. We should plan a ride, not in the NYC metropolitan area, but more adirondacky or New England.
