        Rally Excitement Building!!!!

The excitement is building as I FINALLY have my Vintage FZR ready for the rally! Took a nice long 110+ mile ride without issues.... after literally THOUSANDS of dollars in parts... This one is ready for VYR.

        I hear a Dragon & A Moonshiner Calling!

Did over 100 miles on Ugly Duck Last weekend..... She's coming also....

Demands are high at my job, so I have to do this with a minimum of time off. My XS1100 is hopefully going to make the journey. It has been neglected for a couple of years. I’ve got it on the lift. I replaced the tires yesterday. I still have to finish contending with a fuel leak, change oil, and check remaining fluids. I had the carburetors off for maintenance, and I expect I’ll be checking my work on the nine hour ride to the Iron Horse. So, it goes.

            Hi Marty,
Good to hear you are giving the bike some attention before leaving for IH. Your work is always to the highest standard. Look forward to seeing you there. Now I must attend to some of my bikes needs. Front Brake fluid change this afternoon rear done already with new pads. Valves adjusted last week end another 2 hour job that took Brian & I 2 days

              Preparations Underway

Kurt: That FZR project came out awesome. It's beggin' for a Dragon run!
Looks like a new helmet? They'll see you comin'....I know that's the idea.

Meanwhile, my Vmax is completely tweaked. I made a late decision to rebuild the carbs and found a plugged pilot jet and cracked air box. Now it runs perfectly. Don't have a recent picture handy.

I'm getting excited, so I'm going to start gathering tools and spare parts.

                    Excitement Builds....

Me Too! I'm not expecting any issues but I always bring a bunch of spares for the XS11 and our XS11 friends that might need a little something.

I don't have much extra for the FZR but several different size hand tools could be needed for it... My FZR still needs some cosmetic work but there just isn't enough time to re-paint in Pearl White. The bike had been down on the Left, all the physical damage is repaired but the paint/decals are in need of replacement on that side especially.

I can't wait to see your VMax!

Brent is 'Ready to Rally' Not taking one of his HD's this year
i'm not ready yet, but hope to be by Saturday

Bike and Rider are itching to get rolling, get there, and start Rallying. Brent has been putting a lot of time and effort into getting his XS11 ready for the Rally since it had been sitting for a couple of years. He has now got his 11 running pretty smooth, good throttle response plus EZ hot & cold startups.

Today I rode over to have lunch with Brent and his wife. We finally have a day that is not 100 degrees. Was getting tired of the sun, nasty heat, humidity and drought. Fall riding weather arriving soon.
