They had to clean it up real good and mount the tire back. I want new ones for peace of mind but I think these tires are perfectly fine. If I heard someone had 11 year tires I would be like, WHAT, you need to get them off of there. But, these must have been in a time capsule.lol I ive in WV so I have had it in the twisties pretty quick.
If I went to a shop and they did that, I would find a new shop. Any reputable shop should have looked at that 11 year old tire and at least strongly advised you against putting it back on. Dead customers don't make very good repeat customers IMHO.

    • SE Rally Weekend Schedule

Here is an updated Rally Events Schedule in case you are interested. Hopefully this reference will help us avoid some confusion
-or- at least get us to dinner on time. This is about what we did last year, but back then the What & When was a well guarded secret.
Less confusion is a good thing and eliminating it will get us more time to RIDE (or BS) ...........

      See ya soon,
      Jeff

      • Warwoman Road

This is one of the roads we're adding in.

        Warwoman Road - Georgia

        Here are some video highlights.

        Warwoman Road

Here is a video of most of the road west to east. We'll be running it in the opposite direction with the twistiest bits first.

        Warwoman Road, NorthEast GA

In this last video, you may note that the riders are WOT in the short straightaways, charging into the corners hard on the brakes, and riding the brakes all the way around. It isn't the way to do it. Also note that there are no signs giving information about the turns.

        • Maybe its just the video but they seem to be going rather slow IMO. Looks like that could be a fun road. Looking forward to it.

          • They ARE slow. In the long version, they twist the throttle in the straights and slow to a crawl in every turn. They are a perfectly good, bad example.

              • Warwoman Road is on the Saturday loop. We'll be picking it up from GA28. We drove past it last year. It will take us to our fuel stop in Clayton.

                • The Long Rider

I am curious. Who is riding their bike for the longest distance? It won't be me. I have only a 2 1/2 to three hour journey from north Fulton county, GA.

Harry is about 1100 miles not sure about John, and Tod and I are 850 - 950 miles. I don't know of anyone else coming further.

                      • Yeah, as the crow flies but the way Harry and John came so we could all ride in together added a few miles. I guess that doesn't count.

Phil has us all beat unless Ted is further.

I didn't say that! Just tell Phil he has to take a lap around Lake Ontario before pointing it south.

Well, I'm impressed by you venturing that far to come to the Smoky Mountains (and back). So you guys will be on the bikes for what - 3 or 4 days one way?

2 days for trbig, Bigfoot and I. JW took 3 and visited family in NE Texas the first day.

I think trbig, Bigfoot and I could do it in one day if we grit our teeth.

                                Hi Marty,
the 1300 is in Kilometre so more like 850 miles. Tom is closer to I 75 so may be shorter if he goes that way (boring) while i get to cross WV from end to end Ted is in Ottawa so much further.
My return "flight" last year I along with Earl G, rolled out of Iron Horse at 7:00am and I rolled into the driveway at midnight.
