      I couldn't agree more. Last year's rally in NC was very good but this one was that much better. Lots of return riders and new ones. Great to see all the old friends and to meet the new ones. TWO was a better place to stay and the roads were twisty as they come. That area is a motorcyclists dream. We got back to Nashville at 6:30, just about dark. Thanks again Rob!

                XSives at Ga. Rally

                Well, Mitch,

                Let me see, there was Gary Granger...but he rode his Bandit, and Dave(rainbowshooter), but he rode his new Yam "ZipSplat";

                Brent Hoovestol;"Me"; Robert Haller; Nashville Bill; Marty Ambrose; Ralph Meeks; Bruce Gerkin;

                New folks:Bruce Heckbert; "Hobbitt"; John(jetMech);

                That's 12 that I can recall, there were 21 bikes, Rob Reil's 850 triple, a few 650 twins, a couple of Hondas, an ENDURO, and I'm sure several others I've forgotten(apologies!)

                So..I would estimate over half of the participants were Xsives!

                After travelling almost 600 miles to get there on what I thought was enough rear tread to make it there and back. I then checked the rear and found I had a drag slick!!! The tire was so old, (a Dunlop 491) I couldn't even find a date stamp, think it was before they started putting them on.

                So...I got up early Sat. am and with the assistance of Harley Dave and Marty, we rode to a local bike shop at 7:30am, got the rear tire pulled off, they opened at 8:00am, got a nice replacement Dunlop 491 EliteII MU(140/90-16) mounted and balanced, and then I put it back on the bike and was headed back to camp by 8:30 for the ride meeting at 9:00, and didn't even miss breakfast!! The ride back to camp was enough twisties to scuff the new tire up nicely in preparation for the long run thru the mountains. Thank goodness I had a Metric Sized Channel Locks to unbolt the rear axle nut

                I'll be working on the DVD for this trip soon, Come on Dave and Gary, get your pictures posted to Image Station soon so I can "borrow" them for the production!!!!! Was a fun time!!!

                          Hey there Dave and Bill,

                          Thanks for the pictures, I've D/L'd quite a few and will be including them in the upcoming DVD!!! I took only a few myself, cause I was busy running the CamCorder, so didn't have much time for the still shots. Will post them to Image Station soon!

                              Well, Bruce and I finally got home after a week of warm weather and no rain at all!! We made it almost home before we hit snow and icy roads, almost lost the truck and trailer twice on ice covered bridges. There are a few stories to tell, watch this space.

                                Easiest way to do this is subscribe to the SE section of the rally board or all of the eastern rallys and an email will be sent to you when any new info is posted in those forums.
