Well guys, sorry. For the first time I'm gonna mis a TeXSive ride. I'm working nights this week and won't get out of here until 3 or 4 am Saturday morning.

Well, you and the dragon will be with us in spirit.
We will have to just do another ride between now and the Fall TeXSive run to make up for your absence.

Doesn't soud like a problem
You know, if you leave from work at 3 you can make it to 249 & 45 on N. side of Houston by about 6:15 -6:30 (you will have to push it a little) and ride down with Dmac, Skippy, Hippie Dave & I. That way you can still be in Galveston for breakfast between 8 & 8:30.

Great ride!
TeXSives, another great ride is in the history books. Thanks to all those who came out to ride with us, and those who just stopped by to dine. It was good to see old friends and make some new ones.
I spoke to Robert last night and he is doing fine. He said that he is going to go to the Dr. this week just to be safe and get checked out. He is already looking forward to riding with us in the fall.
A special thanks to Greg, who stepped up to be my Sweep rider. Great job buddy. You had no idea how exciting riding sweep could be huh?!
And Rich? I expect to see your new Nickname on the site soon!

It was great getting to meet y'all, even playing dodge the saddlebag cover.... ( I really do feel bad about that... luckily no one was hurt...) BTW, the Duct Tape stuck..... LOL.... I crack myself up ... the "Duct Tape" stuck ... both the tape and the name... ya see, it was .... aaaah , never mind...
I had a great time and enjoyed it, looking forward to the next one..."DuctTape"

really sucks i was only 90 miles away from the starting point but house repair had to come first.. I was thinking about ya'll as i looked at the nice weather and and the wrecking bar and sledge hammer... Atleast SWMBO did say i could put a ramp on the end of the porch so i could get the bike on it for repairs...lol She couldn't believe she said it...lol
Glad ya'll had a good ride.. hopefully i can make another ride soon... even if I have to ride Dads Harley again...Shawn

Sure glad my Honda CB900F kept up with the "Big Boys".
I got my XJ running Sunday afternoon; the GM ignition really worked. So now its time to add the fuel injection system. So, the next time we meet, I'll ride a "real" motorcycle.

My butt is still sore!!!! Nice ride guys. I have swore off sprite for a while.
Battery started to give it up about 50 miles outside of Austin, thank god for my nifty LED voltmeter. Made it in with no major problem. Glad to hear Robert is doing well and is ready to ride again. Wayne, thanks for all your work to get another sucessful ride together, and thanks for the discount tickets you sent me. Will be ready to go again in October.

It was both an honor and a pleasure to step in and sweep for the TeXSives. And yes, it was eXSiting! Don't worry Danny, you are still #1 sweep and I will only fill in, in your absence.
I was happy to retrieve the saddlebag lid for DT and am glad to hear that Robert is fine. Thanks to Tinman for securig a safe conduct home for Robert and Linda. He sacrificed the rest of the ride to see that fellow TeXSives were safe. You DA Man, Tinman!
I had such a good time with these fine folks both old and new. It truly satisfies the soul to see 10 bikes and good friends riding ahead of me. I wish we could do this every weekend.
Thanks to all of you for such a great experience, again! And I would like to especially thank Wayne for organizing another ride for us.
I will submit a ride report and link to my pics soon.
