About 197 - 200 miles, est. time 7 hours (this is including a 1 hour lunch break and gas stops).

Remember, we XS riders get "dead butt" syndrome quicker than you luxo-rig riders. Also, my kidneys will not out run my gas tank any more.

Thats why its a 200 mile ride and not a 700.

I have always found that a couple of Alieve (or pain reliever of your choice) with breakfast before the ride helps stop the monkey butt.

I am always flexible, if we get behind schedule we can always improvise.

              Cure for Monkey Butt!

Since I am on a "special," I get to decide when we stop.

Well, actually, Scorpion decides as she only has a 3.5 gallon tank and my range is about 88 miles before she is sniffin' for go juice!

And at the speeds you crazies run, I burn it even faster! That's why I like riding with you folks.

Love of food and bikes, you can't get much better people than that in my book. Can't wait to ride with, as my momma calls us, " the biker gang."

See everyone Saturday morning at my health club, also know as IHOP!

Not a problem. We will top off the tanks in Freeport, about 40 miles from Galveston, because after that the next decent gas stop isnt until Bay City, about 100 miles into the trip.

I don't want a repeat of last fall, when we were scrambling for fuel and there was none to be found.

                  Took Friday off ........
Shined (or covered with rattle can paint) what I could ....
                  My check list is done!

Sounds like a Master Card commercial....

                  Used Yamaha XS1100 ......... $700.00
Carbs to get her running again ....... $300.00
Tires, tubes, filters and other parts .... $400.00

Riding her to the TeXSive Spring Rally '06..... Priceless!

HHHMMmmmm Maybe I'll sent that in to Master Card people.....

BTW: When you see her Saturday, remember that compared to 4 months ago, she looks great! and runs ....

Fuel wasn't the only thing we were scrambing for!!! I am really looking foward to this cruise. Maybe we can keep in in the 75-80mph range, just in case I/we see a senic place to "stop and smell the roses".

With the po'police the way they are down that way, we will be keeping it pretty close to speed limits. (well, most of the time anyway )

due to circumstances beyond my controll (WORK!) we will not be coming up on friday night. So dont look for us at dinner that night.

We will, however, be there Saturday morning at Ihop, bright and early.

                            See ya over pancakes!
