        rule 3

Welcome remccool, rule #3 is the most important and must be followed until we say when. Like that will ever happen.

webbcraft I see your finally off the hook on rule 3, congrats.
There's always a way, figure it out.

Does anyone have any idea how many XS & XJ11's will be there? Are there any fees or forms to sign up or do we just show up at the IHOP in Galveston?

No fees, unless you wana pay a fee, and then I would be happy to take your money.
Just show up and ride with us. Everyone is riding under their own recognisance, it just so happens your all following me.

As to how many, well it can be 3 or 10 its hard to say. Several TeXSives (including myself) now ride other bikes, but I still organize these rides because this is the greatest group of guys I have ever had the pleasure to ride with.

Anyone on any bike is welcome. If you like to ride, you can ride with the TeXSives.

Looking forward to seeing you in Galveston.

                Ride Safe.

OK, looks like this thing has turned into a family affair and I need some help. My two girls wanna go. My wife and Warrior Boys are gun shy about 6+hrs in the saddle. So now they have ganged up on me the the following plan. They, (the ladies) want to follow in the car, (not sure the Mazda can stay wound that tight that long ). I need a beachfront motel either in Galvaston or Kemah so the girls will have something to do besides spending my money. I can do the Yahoo search, but am looking for recommendations from you guys. Thanks. (the daughters xr80 is NOT a suitable road bike ).

                    Glaveston...
                    Flagship Hotel
The Flagship is pretty nice. The best thing about it is that it sits on the water, which gives every room a great view.

                    The San Luis
The San Luis is prolly one of the best in Galveston, but its not cheap. It is on seawall blvd. and is across the street from the beach.

                    Galveston.org
You can also check lots of hotels here. Just select the "Beach and Seawall" box and do your search.

                    Kemah...
                    Kemah.com
This hotel is on the boardwalk in Kemah. It's nice and the boardwalk has lots of fun stuff for a family to do.

                    hope this helps

Oh, just one word of advice. DONT stay at a place called Casa Del Mar, it's a dump.

My new Bride (only been married 3 1/2 years) wants to go, but she prefers 4 wheels to 2, so she's going to follow in the Dodge 1500 (at least to where ever we stay at). I'll run those places by her.

I am going to pow-wow with Warrior boy tonight and see which hotel his (and mine) will allow. The way I figure it, my girls are gonna hang on the beach while the boys go play with there toys . Thats alot cheaper than turning them loose shopping. Anyway, hope to have launch time and hotel figured out before Wednesday. If your bringing a pickup, could be handy to have a ramp and tie downs on hand.

                              Friday night meet?

Got it set up now. I/we will be staying at Gaidos Seaside Inn. Looks like is just a few blocks from the designated Saturday morning takeoff point. Will be there early to mid Friday afternoon. Where are rest you guys gonna be. Friday could be a good excuse for a "pre-flight" briefing. I would gladly share my beach view for one of your Corona's

My wife made us reservations just down the street from the Gaidos. Hopefully we'll meet up with y'all somewhere along the way, or at least there.
New change, seems it will be a "family" event, just found out my In-Laws will be riding with my wife, so she may not have the truck after all.
