I think I can have one running in time for the rally.
There is a 1981, 1100 in the Ark Dem-Gaz for sale in Alexander, AR, over by Little Rock. No second gear, metal side covers, etc.,
but the owner says it runs! He does not know if it is an XJ or XS. Has $200 in it, wants $300. I think I will go have a look at it and
if I can get it for $200 I will bring it home. It should be at least worth that much even if for parts? What do you think?

We'll be at small trailer park on the northeast side of Talihina as you go east on 271 toward the ridge road. We'll either be at Pam's that night or there in a White Sportsman fifth wheel. You'll see Zilla parked there if we're there.

There are a few of us... Hippy Dave and his girlfriend, Skippy (Greg) and his wife Lynda and I are riding over to Hot Springs Thursday, staying the night and riding north on HWY 7 up past I-40 to Deer, AR.. over to St Paul (where we may or may not make a quick trip to Fayetteville where there's a big blues and bike rally that will be going on) and back down to Paris, AR and down over Magazine mountain... then on to Talihina. Somewhere @ 350 - 400 miles. Just wondering if you wanted to meet up somewhere along the way or just wave as we go by and meet back up in Talihina Friday evening?

Possible Meeting
Tod, I'm not sure at what point we might meet, but when you see a metallic grey/silver Pacifico fairing , wave me down and we can stop and visit. We'll be leaving Branson probably about 8:00 or later, and I suspect we'd both be on Hwy 7 when we meet. If you have never stopped at the Cliffside Inn just up the mountain from Jasper, it is worth trying to time your trip to eat lunch there. The view is spectacular, and their cobbler is almost as good. If you take the turn off from Hwy 7 to Deer, it may be before you get there. At any rate, if we don't meet, i'll see you for sure in Talihina. . . . . BohnBohn

Seriously though... which side of Jasper is this Cliffside Inn at? South side may be do-able, but north side is getting too far out of the way. The Deer turn off is before that.

And to anyone else...
This is kind of short notice, but anyone is welcome to join us... they would just have to find lodging in Hot Springs for the night.
We are meeting in Talihina Thurs morning and taking a somewhat direct route to Hot Springs... under 200 miles probably... and stay the night. Then a much longer ride back to Talihina Friday... more like 350-400 miles.
This will NOT be structured riding... just kind of having a bit of fun. If the pace gets too fast or slow... do your own pace and meet at the next intersection type thing. If everyone rides at the same pace... great. If not... that's great too. It's all for fun.
Again... my cell number is 580-421-5782. If you want to meet Thurs and ride with us.. PM me here or call. If you're coming from the east (Brent) you could meet us Friday in Hot Springs if you're not busy.
Either way... see you all Friday evening or Saturday morning!
