Nice Wing, the first Wing I ever saw was that color, it was setting outside the NCO club in Korea, I must have walked around it for a hour looking at it.

I needed the Wing for a business project and this one was dirt cheap because it didn't run. Whoever put the engine in was a good mechanic but didn't know crap about wiring.

On this page I document a couple of the repairs but unfortunately this was less than 10% of the wiring problems.

Here's a pic of the bike all together when I got it. Right now all the plastic and seat are off it...

I thought that might be it, but wasn't sure. I have an 83 Aspencade, that I bought last June. I wasn't looking for another bike, but this one was in fantastic condition and at a price I couldn't pass up. I still haven't decided if I will keep it yet.Leave a comment:

The wingding is my 1975 Honda GL1000 with a 1980 GL1100 engine. The wiring is a total disaster and I'm redoing all of it. Work keeps me from wrapping it up. Just when I dig into it, I get busy.

The XS11 I had with a name was my half 80 Special / half 79 standard and I called it the Mongrel. I sold that bike to my cousin's kid about 3 years ago. I now have an all 1979 standard that has some cool upgrades but no name.

I don't know what Tony is talking about either. I suppose it is his bike, but i thought it had a different name.Leave a comment:

I don't care what anybody rides either. They can ride a kids trike with pink stringers hanging from the handlebars for all I care. As long as they can keep up, it's all right with me. As long as they can keep up, it's all right with me.

I was thinking just a short day ride this spring to get things going.

Ride what you got, it's OK by me. I've had bikes from all of the big 4 Japanese, 3 brands of British and 2 Italian...

Hey Tim. I don't know for sure about the other guys, but i don't care what people ride. The whole reason for riding is for enjoyment. For me it is rehab as well. I hope we can put this trip together for summer. I also want some shorter rides. I do plan to wear out my new tires this summer. Glad you are hear.Leave a comment:

 Riding in th NW

 Hey Larry and Geezer,
 Glad to meet you both.
That would be great to go on a road trip somewhere. I'll try to get my Brother-in-law in on it too even though he has a XS750.
So these group rides...are they stickly XS11 or can people with XJs and XLS go too. I haven't been on any rides with club memebers and honestly I never discriminated people for what they ride as long as they don't do it to me. (This is why I don't own a Harley)
 Anyway Just thought I'd ask.
 Cheers!

Welcome back Tim. I'm in Salem, it's always nice to meet a fellow XS nut here locally. My ride is down for some repairs and modifications, should have it ready to ride in another month or two. We should get together for a ride sometime later this spring.

 Riding in th NW

 Hey Ya'all,
Tim Mix here. Been out of the forum for a long while but decide to log in today and am glad I did. I am sad I missed a ride to Detriot lake since it is close to my house. I live in Hubbard, OR.
But I would like to particpate in a ride this year, if one happens. I would be willing to help organize it, if someone needs help. It would be a good distraction.
Anyway, if anyone is up in the area and wants to stop by and chat that would be great. Email mail me at cessnafixer@yahoo.com
 Cheers!
