      • XSive in Bainbridge 2005

To All You XSive's Who were Able to Attend,
We just wanted to let you all know how much we enjoyed having you in Bainbridge ( however, some "dog people" may think otherwise! )
We had an XSively good time

We had great people, great riding, we drank XSively, ate XSively, and actually had an XSively good time in the Caverns... as well as actually having an exact estimate of laughing Xsively.( Bet you don't wanna say that 3 times fast ! ) Randy actually now has an exact estimate of what being XSive is all about !!!
Again, we're glad to have had you all to "our little corner of the world" and look forward to doing it again ! (actually thinking about doing it again next year, though you'll have to provide your own NO DOGS ALLOWED signs !!) We have a few ideas kicking around to discuss but we'll keep you all informed.

Please post when you arrive home ( or as soon as possible) so we know everyone got back safely. Then it'll have been a totally XSive weekend !!!!

Thanks for the memories and I'll actually see some of you in a few weeks @ Bean Blossom !

        XSively,

          • Got home about Noon, just woke up from a much needed nap! Man, I'm getttin' old, but not used to 1000 miles, 1000 beers and 1000 burgers and 1000 laughs in so few days!

Thanks so much, Bruce and Deb for letting us trample your grass, eat your food and drink your beer. You two are the nicest people I've ever met.

Thanks Gary, Dena, Marty, Sally, Russ, and Wayne for the good times at the Susquehanna (bow wow). A special thanks to Gary for helpng me 'VENT" in style! The Swamp Thing is ACTUALLY now complete!

I was the rookie at this rally, so I can say if you're reading this and you've never been to an XSsive rally, get off your ass and go. Spending time with cool people of good humor, like mind and interests is eleventh heaven. Add to that the shenanegans, drinkin'and eatin' and it all adds up to a familiar feeling - like comin' home!

The first thing I said to the wife when I got home was "I want to host a rally in the Poconos next year"

I wonder how many would show up? I'll start mappin' some twisties, I know, gotta have twisties!

            Randy

            • Dena and I finally made it home and unpacked after 10 days away from home.

Thanks to Deb and Bruce for the gifts, good times and hosting a great rally. I will upload photos soon and try to give a ride report.

              Later,

              • Made it back without incident at 3:00 pm. Took about five hours of riding time and by my calculation I actually averaged about a 1000 mph. I would have actually done better but I actually got stuck in traffic. Words cannot thank Bruce & Deb enough for all they did to make this rally truly XSive in every way. Great food, great drink, great friends, great rides and site seeing. Many thanks to Bruce for spare fork and lift and help getting "leaky" back on the road. Thanks to Randy, Marty, Mitch and all else who helped me install the new fork. Great to see old friends again and to meet new ones. Can't wait till we hook up again. Put me down as in Randy!

Wayne left at same time I did and was still having rough running problems but felt he could make it home. I'm sure he will let us know.

                  • Back Home Again

                    Hello To My Fellow Ralliers,
Yes, I am home. I left B-Bridge at 9:15am and arrived here in Toronto at 4:30. My bike was running a bit rough when I left but once I was on the highway it was like I had wings. Over the 5 days I did a total of 1709 KMS. or for my American friends 1140 miles.
I want to send a special thank you to Bruce and Deb for hosting this rally. I thank you for all the great food, soda, great gifts and good times in general. Thanks to my friend Russ for bunking with me again. It seems to be a tradition from now on. I also want to thank everyone who helped me get my bike going when I broke down at the rest stop. I couldn't have done it without you.
It is always good to meet new people at these rallies, but it is even better to see the old faces from rallies gone by. I am very proud to call you all my good friends old and new and may our relationship never fail.

Thank you all and take care,
                    Your the Greatest,

                    • Bainbridge & home

I got home today, Tuesday July 05, 2005, around 2:30 pm. Great rally Bruce & Deb! Really pretty and time saving short cut around Binghamton too.
I left at 0530 and made Harrisburg PA in 3hrs.40min. (only missed one turn in PA) Also rode the first part about 200 miles of the Blue Ridge Parkway, from mile 0 to mile167, camping at Rocky knob a national park campground, and today proceeding south on the parkway to Interstate 77 at fancy gap. Also rode the cherokee foothills scenic highway: South Carolina 11.

2357 miles since friday morning. Correction- slightly more now since I went out for more oil and filter.

                      Happy motoring,

Bean Bag will be a different kind of rally.... , see you on the way buddy!!
