For what it's worth, I kinda liked that Fairbridge Inn Express in Milford. Due to the always much preferred park right outside your room door thing. We almost got to do that last year at that very nice W Va place. No stupid hallways for me !

I called around some today. Looks like the Gresham is the best bet and best rates. They have 21 rooms. It appears the Fairbridge has only 10 units.

I'll call Gresham tomorrow to set something up.

The motel in Newton is set up with outdoor entrances and parking in front of your room..I believe their rates are less expensive than Gresham...

I just looked at where Gresham's is..Its on Lake Wallenpaupack..During a holiday weekend the traffic in this area is congested at best..and it will be like going to the jersey shore..packed and crowded...a nice place to stay but a holiday weekend there is gonna be crowded...lots of RVs and boats and campers..and fisherman..etc..a real zoo...I've been throught there on a Sunday ride and going through Honesdale took me 30 mins..cant imagine what it would be like on a holiday weekend...

I can defer to Newton. Like I said, I have no feel for the area. Folks with local knowledge know best; lodgings, routes.

So, where should we stay?

(I found the rates listed now jump up at Memorial Day.)

Hi Darrell,
From the Google satellite shot the front looks nice and open. There is a block at the back that appears to require riding across a rough parking area next door to access which would be a pain the butt.

I spoke with Janet at the Newton NJ Econo Lodge this morning. Here’s the deal.

I’ve a block of rooms reserved under XSEast 2018 for May 25-27. Ask for Janet, she’s on duty 0600-1400 Wed-Sun. 973-383-3922. Block will be held until Apr 24. Can cancel up to May 24.
15% tax added for all below
5 King Single non-smoke $69 $ 79.35
6 Double smoking $79 $ 90.85
5 Double non-smoking $79 $ 90.85
3 Queen double ns $79 $ 90.85
2 Queen double suite $99 $113.95
No more than 4 to a room; $10 for each extra person.

Darrell..Thankyou for taking this on... I will look over the maps and suggest from memory possible routes although i suspect other members in the area have fresher memories than i...havent thought of a name for the rally..yet
