    XS East 2017

    I’ll open the XS East 2017 thread with my proposal. After enjoying riding the Tail of the Dragon at XSSouth, I came across The Back of the Dragon, VA-16 in southern Virginia. We could run from Marion VA up to Twin Falls Resort State Park near Pineville where we held our 2006 rally. I already reserved a block of 20 rooms at Twin Falls in case we want to go with this. They’d be $87 a night and the lodge includes a dining facility. There’s a lot of good riding in this area.

    The FJR group ran out of Wytheville this past year though I don’t know what routes they ran.

      lots of restaurants in Marion.
      Burke's Garden, AKA God's Thumbprint great, a great scenic spot.
      And any two-lane road north of Tazewell....

        Marion is about 250 miles from me...closer than the XSSE rally is in Stecoah NC

                Yea...right. Doubtful that'll ever happen. After my 40mph T-bone crash last summer on my STeed, was told by surgeons, so much as a trip'n'fall has a 98% percent chance of permanent wheel chair ride as it can't be fixed again.
                Though I still have the bought new immaculate Venturer, still bike-covered in garage.......me thinks a good location for it.......well, unless I opt for an unwise decision.
                As for the distance your talkin' about.......makes for a nice leasurly day ride.........again, get'r done my friend.

                  I know Brant ..just funnin with ya...i maybe in Tucson around the same time as XSeast tho...were looking to relocate..i need a desert climate for health reasons ...

                    That area/climate will do it for ya'. Lived there myself for a while in my early 20's.

                            I was holding off a bit to see if anyone suggested any other venues. If not, I'll host this. Is there anyone down that way that can do some recce? One ride would be from Twin Falls to Marion and back. Second day, somewhere in WV.
