      • Back around 11pm after dropping in on a couple people in NY State. No rain on a nice route through PA. Found myself again up on that Mt. Davis observation platform from the Somerset rally ride. As always, great to to see everybody!

          • PICs

Here's a pic of all of us at the first stop for lunch at Quinetts:

Here we are at our 1st gas stop on day 2. It was amazing to me how much better the MPGs were for me compared to the highway commute I do everyday.

Here's one with all 6 of the XS11's at our day 2 lunch stop at Steer Steakhouse:
(Bikes from right to left: JetMarty, me, Earl, TC, Brent and Phil's)

I should have taken more pics, but I was having too much fun.
I guess I'm not a newby at this twisty thing anymore!
As a newby I had no idea what the 'Harley Award' was, but I found out.
It just so happened that because I live a little further away from the rally than TC did, I got the award instead of him (again). Next year, I'm planning on riding to the rally instead of trucking it that way I can give up the award to some other non iron butt.

Sorry, I was asking Huron55 (Tom) how many miles he had with the whole trip... just curious.

                • Sally and I slabbed most of the way, made it back in 4 hours, just clouds then sun. Radar detector worked flawlessly!

Thanks everyone for coming, hope you had a good time. I know we ate well...

Thanks for the standing 'O' TC...

                  Hope Darrell is OK.

Where to next year? Someone start a thread.

Best guess is approx 1800 miles or 2877 kilometers. That's for the weekend which started Thursday morning and ended Monday evening. (home to home again)

                      • home in GA

Jet mech Marty and I both made it to our respective homes in GA about 10 pm today. Same day as Darrell and we still have tires to buy. Great roads there and back. How many miles did we ride? ALL of them, some at least twice.

More of XSellent road trip; GA to XSeast in Bridgeport WV later. Thanks to all who attended and especially to the organizers.
It is a great big beautiful world out there

That front was looking pretty well used...

                          • I crossed Blood Mountain last night in the dark.

My bike quit running on the way up. Here's Brent troubleshooting the electrics.

                            Obviously, back in business.

                            We had frosty mornings.

We had 3 Specials, 2 standards, and 1 Godzilla.

No superslab on the way home.

The group got separated. This is the rest of us.

Stopped here on the way home. Sarah might make the best barbecue sandwich I ever ate.

Thanks for organizing a great rally, Marty!

Right at my back door and i missed it! Hopefully it will be kinda close next year. I thought about going to the southeast one in september. Any of you east guys going to go there?
