    Well,

All things considered, alot of your miles on this run will be on the slabs, some of the easiest riding you can find.

You can google the Mystic Pizza restaurant, they have their own website with dirrection/maps.

      Got it

      Just checked it out
      133 miles/2hrs 16min-give or take...

      Not too bad.
I will present my proposal to his Lordship.

If that doesn't work...I'll ask for something completely ridiculous, like Jamaica or Hawaii or a fur coat...diamonds?.
And when he says 'No', I'll say, 'Okay...Can we just go to CT next weekend then?'.

      Wicked, wicked females...

      Right!!

        Mystic Pizza - www.mysticpizza.com
        56 W Main St, Mystic, CT - (860) 536-3700
"The basic original Pizza was the best ever."

On street Parking can be tough on Main St, but there is a public parking lot with an entrance on Water St, about a block away. Not sure what it costs but I think they do some sort of validation thing and I don't remember it being outrageous.

I'll check it out this week if I get a chance.

Carolyn, let me know how your coming down from MA and I give you some directions.

The 'map people' are saying 495 to 395 etc.
However, both his Lordship and I are truck drivers with 40+ years of combined New England driving experience, so I know better than to listen to the 'map people'.
That said, once we hit the outskirts of town(It could be just me by myself)there's nothing better than 'local' information.
So, once he's done rolling his eyes, sighing, etc. I'll get a better route from him and then ask you how to improve on it.
          How's that?

If he checks this thread, I am going to be in SOOOO much trouble!!

              Woo-Hoo!

              Alright, Ben!!
That would be awesome if you could go.
Now I have even more incentive to go. I'd love for you to see the bike! And my low speed manuvers, thanks again for the tips! I'm coming along swimmingly!
              Hope to see you there!

Its still a long shot but I would like to meet up with everyone...heck I could easily do this on my ST1100 but...I am hoping that Max makes it instead. We are going to Portsmouth VA next weekend...and depending upon the outcome...we'll know if Max is reborn or not...I also hope to have him sporting a different look...but will keep you guessing on what that might be...
Randy...if I do this I'll want to meet up with you all to take the ferry from Orient Point....dont musch like boats but looking at where Mystic is ...and I-95 is not a good option...very bad roads IMO...so saftey in numbers will help...a little...like I said I'll oficially let you know by Aug 5th

Ben, have you looked at the mileage? Orient Point is 170 mi from you. It's only 80 mi from me here in Merrick, NY and I'm figuring I've got to bug out of here by 6AM to be sure to make a ferry by 8, the ferry trip is 1:20.

Ya Know I-95 on a Saturday Morning while not a great ride shouldn't be that bad. Even for you Randy looks as though the ferry only saves you about 50 miles which you ought to be able to cover in way less than 1:20. Unless you just want to go for a boat ride.

Randy....I am familiar with the island...i was born and grew up in Huntington...like I said this is a long shot...depends upon how TC and I make out
The other factor will be the weather...it has to be clear and calm or I wont be gettin on any boats!
Lastly..if I decide to do this I'll come up on a Fri. and find a motel in the Huntington area...as for how far it is from me...no biggie...but planning it out time wise ..I get your point
So this is just a preliminary plan...I will know more after next weekend...until then this is just tentaive....

Hey, Russ, yeah, I could go the superslab route, but I've done the ferry route before, on trips to Boston and it's a nice way to travel. Breaks up the ride and the ferry is relaxing as long as it's not choppy!

Anyway it sounds like you guys have a plan.

                            Okay, here we go...

I asked his Lordship about it. He said 'Good luck'. I don't know what that means, but he's doubtful...
                            Okay, we'll see.
I'm trying to get him to go...
                            If not, oh, well...His loss.
                            I'm still planning on it.
