Input needed quickly so we can lock in some rooms by the end of this week.
There is an event in town that weekend called the Villa Louis Carriage Classic which is a horse and carriage show and draws thousands of people, so rooms are filling up fast.
I’m good with either one of the places.

Ride route will be very scenic river roads, river overlooks, hills, valleys, sweeping turns and twisties. Enough variation to tickle everyone’s fancy.

Either works for me. I’d pick the one within walking distance of food and drink but if neither are that is OK too.

They both have food within walking distance of 3-4 blocks.

Holiday Motel with Eddies Irish Pub 4blocks away and Kwik Trip Gas next door
with refreshments of the hops persuasion.

Prairie Motel has Huckleberry restaurant within 3 blocks and bar pub next door but it looked like it was closed when I was there.
Both places have picnic table and chairs outside to sit around and gab.

Since they seem to be about equal, I vote for the cheapest one.

Sounds like Holiday Motel is the choice so far.

Just to make sure everyone understands though, one queen bed per room if some of you were planning to double up??????
Had some double queen for Friday night ONLY so that won't work.

Guess at this point it sounds like 4 rooms will be taken right away? Me, Bob, Matt, Dan?
Then Steve, D.P.Larmee, Brent to consider?
Maybe I should try to get more than the 5 I talked to him about but don’t know how many more he might have?
Will wait to hear input and call owner Thursday night to confirm and if you feel should be more rooms I will have to see how many more would be available.

I’d go for 8 if you can reserve them without committing to pay for them. Find out how far ahead you need to cancel before you are stuck for paying. I think September is a long ways away in hotel reservation time, they should be flexible.

I have been able to hold up to 8 rooms for the rally.
When you call in to reserve your room you must tell him you are with the XS11 Association to get the $60 + tax rate.
There is a 72hr cancellation notice policy.

Please post on the site when you have booked a room.
                      I have booked mine already, that’s 1.

lets not all talk at once!

Ok its been too quiet in here! As it looks so far If things don't change soon I am going to have to back out of this one. My bike is still down with little to no hope. I am at wits ends when it comes to wiring. Going to make a desprate attempt to talk a local bike shop into working on my bike. not sure if they will with it being so old.

                                Don't give up!
Conversion to running your parts bike has apparently not worked out???
Do a search here for RLU wiring bypass. A few good threads about bypassing the Reserve lighting unit and also the headlight relay with explanation of wire colors. RLU gives voltage to dimmer switch and headlight relay as I see it.
                                Gurus, help??????????

Bob and I rode most of the route a week or so ago and at the rate of commitments to ride, looks it might just be the two of us.

I was counting on you to get us lost...........................
