Definately interested in the ride. Not sure I can have a bike ready for the ride though. Just had alittle run in with a deer on 7/2/07. Actually, I was running along the Mississippi River North of Lansing, IA. Hit the damn thing at 60 mph and no time to hit the brakes. I would like to help out in any other way I can. I own an enclosed trailer that could be used for following riders if there are any breakdowns or other problems. I would be nice to meet other XS 1100 owners. I live in NE Iowa. I like the route you mapped out.
Really do want to see park like surroundings and observation tower just west of Elizabeth on 20 ( at least 5 - 10 minute break there for me).

I read that county road 9Y south of Balltown is new concrete ribbon of road with incredible vistas, and that Breitbach's in Balltown is good place to eat.

No room reservation yet, but I am looking forward to doing this trip.

Sorry Guys and gals,

I have lost the use of my internet but am still planning to host this rallie. just a short 2 months away. Looking forwards to meeting all of you that are interested. took a ride on the route planed out it is an amazing site to see. I will be checking in a couple times a week around my break times at work to try to keep you posted.

The 3 hotels that are listed are all in the same block with the super 8 and the country inn and suites being on the same side of the road. there is also 2 places to eat on that side. Across the steet is the holiday inn a fast food place and the harley shop. We are about 3 weeks out and time is flying by. I am heading up into wisconsin this weekend with my Xs so i will be checking out some of the roads between here and oakdale.
