            No, those wre calculated in US gallons

            OK, that actually was calculated on US gallons, namely 3.88 liters = 1US gallon.
            The 41 mpg was after 120 miles on windy coastal highway, averaging 50m/hr.

            My bike I imported from Chicago, it has the US speedometer, so my miles did not have to go through a conversion calculation.

            However, you are right, that after my float adjustment I did run a bit lean, and had to back off my idle adjustment screw. ( Is that the right name for the adjustable brass screw facing the front on the carb? Not sure on the terminology here)
            So now it starts easier again on cold mornings , and the mpg's are 38-39mpg.
            Any comments on this?
            Would it be better to get back to the float and adjust the tap to close a bit later, to make the bowl fuller?
            80 1100SG with 79 engine
            79 1100F being restored
            78 xs650 runabout (mpg, eh?)

              Fuel milage

              Well i have been rideing my 1980 XS11SG right @ 8 months and i have put a header retuned the carbs new main and pilot jets and with me and my wife on a ride from Fort Worth to dublin Texas we got about 32 MPG at about 70 MPH avrig is that good or bad
