    brights

So the blue dash light is on a bit with the low beam and a lot with the brights. The high and low are kind a mixed together. Both work .. is this common? What wires do I look at to make it work correctly?

Could this be related to my signals blinking slower sometimes? I'm not strong with complicated electric. I can grasp direct inspection and repair and ground cleaning if I know the right spot.

The reserve lighting unit turns the high beam on at reduced voltage when the low beam fails. Did your low beam filament fail? Check the headlight first.

Changed headlight bulb- works great. That means the dash bulb reserve light indicator must be out.

could be this yamaha 3h5-81950-00-00 could be acting up on you. They can corrode on the inside and the symptoms you describe can be the result. There was a thread in the past where one of our member actuallypried one open and cleaned it and made repairs to it. As you can see it can be had on Ebay, only problem being you don't know if you are getting anything any better than what you already have. That box is located under the tank along the frame towards the headlight bucket.

The little indicator bulb had disintegrated. So it all worked as it should.
