Yep... the video that Marty posted the link to shows Andy over in Australia doing just that on his cafe conversion of his "basket case" bike.

Bonz... I have been searching this site to see if I can find that link for your signature but sadly when the .com site died those direct links for the most part died with it. I was able to find an old thread concerning the ZRX carbs where someone had drilled them but the thread was more about they had drilled all the way through and were trying to get help on what to do to fix that. Quite an old thread.

It's been many years since I put ZRX carbs on my 11 so I don't remember everything about it but I had to make a way to attach the 11 cable to the throttle on the ZRX carbs. It seems like I welded a piece on. I only used the single cable and never had a problem with the throttle not returning to idle.

Wanted to ask if the link above is working for you all. With the chatter going dark, figured it might have been a dead end and won't open.

The link in post #18 works, but not the one in your signature.

Howdy, I should have been more clear. I was referring to the link in post #18. Edited my signature so that old link is out of the picture.

In any case, Keihin 36mm CVK ZRX carburetors are a more modern design. They were designed in the late 1990s and used through the mid-2000s as fuel injection started to take over. Mikini BS 36 carburetors used on the FJ1200 were designed in the late '70s and ran through the mid 1990s. This is based on the best I can research on the net.
