Those are the originals, the pictures where the pad isn't in the bracket are the ones with the new shims. That picture is a bit deceptive, but that's actually a feature of the shims. As far as I can tell, the new and old shims are nearly identical except being too wide for the pads. I took measurements all over with my calipers (digital measuring tool, not brakes) and that's the only angle they're different in.
