    I had gotten my hands on perhaps NAPA's last set of four NGK BP6ES in the entire country(!) yesterday, put them on the bike with the current silicone core wires, coils, and ballast resistor hooked back up.

    HALLELUJAH! The bike runs great, it's never had such clean response down low, rips through the midrange and up top. I had forgotten how potent these bikes are when everything is working right.

    I still have the copper core wires coming, but I'm going to leave things as they are for now.
    You are not the first and for sure won't be the last to chase electrical problems through the carbs. Glad to see you got it going.

      Found 4 delivered quick for $17.19. They were in boxes labeled Honda. All good by me as long as they were BP6ES.
      Gonna order another set just to have 'em on hand.

        Oh hell. They only have one plug left.
        Now to search out another set to have on hand. ( Like I'd live long enough to need 'em! lol )
