• How many miles on your bikes?

My SF just turned 49,000 miles. I purchased it in August with 45k miles on the clock.

How many miles are on yours?
Shiny side up,
650 Mike

XS1100SF "Rusty", runs great, 96k miles
XS650SJ "The Black Bike", engine from XS650H with 750cc big bore kit, 30k miles

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in one pretty and well preserved piece, but to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, worn out and defiantly shouting, "WOW, what a ride !" - Sprung

miles

I got mine 2 years ago with 21,000. Tonight it turned 41414.1 while I was on my way to the dealer to put a down payment on a 2003 Valkyrie that only has 345 original miles on it!

I have no flippin' idea!!
I got mine in 83 while still in Japan from fellow serviceman, it had 15 miles on it. THen the odometer broke at 975miles, the tripometer still worked, so I just used it for gas monitoring, drove it for 9 years that way! Then I've rebuilt the engine, and put a used speedo on there, that had about 13K, now has 16+, but that's in addition to an estimated 50k on the chassis!

The guy that I got the Mongrel from said that when ever it hit 50k the miles would flip back to 40k. I don't know if he was right about that but I'm guessing it had around 70k on it when I got it.

I had planned to part it out but I needed something to ride so I scrounged it back together. It has been so nice to ride that I desided to keep it.

My 79 standard has 17k miles on it but sat outside barely under cover for 20 years and it's going to take a lot of work to make it look good again.
