    I'm using to oil and liquid cooled bikes. What is this thingy?

        Check the modification section, as you should replace it with a newer ACC.

          Do not remove that "thingy" without following the procedure in the service manual, if the timing chain skips you will bend valves, these are interference motors.

                They are the weakest part of the engine, IMHO. I've put units from the Venture/VMax into the engines I own. I did have one of the original units loosen up after a "fast" run through some fun roads.
