My sidestand now stops on the centerstand bolt. What is the easy solution to a stop. I'd like to install a Mac 4 into 2 that I have. I'd prefer not dent the pipe with the sidestand.

I suggest a rubber collar on the 'prong' that your foot touches to actuate the sidestand. The rubber rests on the exhaust....making a cushion when it stops against the exhaust and preventing any rattles or scratches while you are riding.
Surprisingly, there is no problem melting or cooking the rubber.
That's what I am using on the XS750 and Venturer.
I know it's a standard part for the XS750 Special, but I don't about the other models.
I used a shock absorber bushing on the Venturer because it what I found in my spare parts.
It's hard to predict the geometry of the MAC vs the OEM, but the rubber can be slid to a sweet spot to function properly.
I can take a picture tomorrow if it helps.-Mike

I have a bike (78 with 81H pipes) where I have to install the centerstand for maintenance purposes because it will not retract. It is easy on/off.Skids (Sid Hansen)
Down to one 1978 E. Stock air box with K&N filter, 81H pipes and carbs, 8500 feet elevation.

I misspoke. The Venturer has a bumper built into the Special exhaust.
The XS750 has the rubber collar.
It's also the XS1100SG ("Bagger") I was thinking about. I installed the Jardine spaghetti on it a few weeks ago, and had the same issue that you anticipate. Here is the shock absorber bushing I used:
It's nifty the bushing has an hourglass shape to follow the cross-sectional shape of the exhaust.
Since shock absorbers come as a pair, I must have a matching bushing in my stash. PM an address if you want it.-Mike

Marty:
Your mailbox has exceeded the allowable storage capacity.
I sent the rubber stopper for your kickstand on 8/17/20.
I see it hasn't been delivered yet.
I wanted to send the tracking number so I can throw away the receipt.

I emptied my private messages several days ago. I'll revisit that. Maybe it got caught up in the transition.
