...Has anyone replaced theirs? I'm just wondering what the process is and how many cuss words are involved. '81 XS1100LH. I'm guessing that you just cut the old ones off and drive the new ones on, but since I don't actually know, and REALLY don't want to screw it up, I thought I'd ask. Any info (or links) y'all can provide would be most appreciated. I've done a forum search, to no avail. TIA.

Your challenge is to find the flat ones for your pegs. I believe the XJ used the same ones so maybe use that in your search. Wait until you have new ones in hand before removing old ones.

I got a set of air box to carb boots for 40$, quality is really good also. The only drawback is they are coming from Japan and it takes about 2 weeks to get something.Slow down and enjoy life. If you are in that much of a hurry, you should have left eariler.

More great parts!
I see lots of great deals on other 'hard to find' part on that CruisinImage site.
Kurt bought a set of piston rings from CruzinImage and he seemed pleased with them.
I might start replacing brake caliper parts now I can see them for $10/set! Usually they are about $25/caliper.
Who would think you could get a carb slide piston (with diaphram) for $20?
I would expect to pay $100.-Mike

Posts like this are why it is essential we get this site back up and running properly. Well done mlew for finding and sharing some excellent sources of hard to find parts.
Note the Sumo rubber parts are priced in Euro. Look for the Euro amount for free shipping to USA. Landed cost may be cheaper to buy 2 or add some other parts to your order.
