I have not made it to my storage unit yet. I'll let you know tomorrow and ask for a shipping address when I know I have the part. I usually send things USPS as it's across the street from me.

I rode this SG today that king queen seat sits me up so high I'm on the balls of my feet, I will make it a priority to find a stock seat and hopefully a 1980 !

The back brake is sticking (brought a rubber mallet with me).
The engine purrs at idle and starts with a tap of the button no problem, but occasionally coughs on slight acceleration (did not want to rev it up since it has not run in a long time) and while riding it started bucking and then run on less than 4 cylinders. When it's running right it has all the power I would/could want.
Scary, reminds me when I bought my 79 back in 79 the set up man says be careful it's very powerful. I pulled up to the end of the parking lot to get on the main street of town and it was rush hour W A I T >>> OK there's a spot to get in, came out of the drive onto main street sideways.

Now oil change, filter, full tank of non-ethanol, plugs, free up back brake, Oh I picked up an 850 reg/rect , 12.9v idle 1500 rpm 13.9v , 2500 rpm ,14.6v and the tach works great.
Thanks Guys !!!! Done, well for now, I'll keep reporting and make a video ASAP

Then it would come and run great, guess I think I know it's the pickup wires, ahhh yeah prolly ?

I must get to work on this pickup wire possibility but I'm also painting the battery box and doing the other wheels for the 650, along with getting ready for the cold that's coming. No priorities, every thing all at once.
I think I'll get to those pickup wires ASAP.

Here's a pic of the air filter and the plugs that came out, wondering what the best gasket material would be to re-seal the filter ?
Those plugs are denso, never saw them used before, are they a good plug, where to get, what's the correct number ?

Replace the air filter. I used K&N in the '79's, but will be doing something different on my '78. The plugs I would use NGK, or find the cross-over match for the Denso. You may also look into a "modern" plug, iridium, as a replacement. Most of them are "resistor" plugs, so you can remove the resistor from the caps if you want for a little better spark.

                            Thanks Ray,
NGK is what I put in the engine now.
I just thought the filter was in such good shape it'd be a shame to toss it ?
I've heard good things about Hi-flo, anyone use one ?

No, haven't. The foam Uni-Flow sprayed with PJ-1 filter oil IS the best bet for a replacement air filter.

Is that UNI filter going to last, cleanable ?
It's the least expensive of all, compared to the K&N you can buy 2 and 1/2 of the UNIs
