I have no idea for the caliper bolt.

The spring looks like one of the two choke/enrichener springs. It's supposed to have a small ball bearing with it to hold the bar and lever in position.

        Hey Stone,

That part is obsolete, last used on the Yamaha 83 XV920 model.

Here's OEM part #, and a listing on eBay...$13.00 with free S&H. The OEM part listed for about $8.00.

You will also need the spacer sleeve, o ring and large fat washer. It should be just a standard metric bolt.

While waiting for Schming to receive my carb, I used the compressed carb/choke cleaner to blow out the "orifices" of my remaining 3 carbs. As I did so, I discovered a small spring that must have been blown out of somewhere. Can anyone direct me as to where it belongs? I gave the 3 carbs a once-over but didn't notice anything obvious. Here's a size comparison.

I'm struggling to find the correct bolts to put the calipers back on. I did consult Andreas, but he doesn't have extras lying around. H suggested they may be the same as the 650. All I could find on MikesXS were these: https://www.mikesxs.net/yamaha-xs650...k-2-77-84.html
which I assume are not the ones I need. Does anyone have a part number? I'll include pics of which bolt I'm talking about. I need the one to connect to the fork. (not sure why they keep rotating upon upload!

            Thanks!
            Got your carb today Austin.
Will get started on it asap.

Small spring is most likely one of the enrichener detent springs.

I'll check my stash for the caliper bolts tomorrow and let ya know

              Hey Schming and Stone,

Unlike most of the parts on the XS11, this one was underengineered/sized, and folks have reported the incidence of pulsing when the front brakes were applied despite the rotors being true and not warped, no uneven wear on them. During their examination they found that the mounting bolts had gotten slightly bent, and once they replaced them with straight ones, the pulsing went away. SO....please check your used bolts for trueness before sending them. JAT.

Hi T.C., thanxs for the reminder, now I remember what I forgot to look for today
I'll be sure to give the bolts a once over to make sure, but my SF, that they will be coming from, had no problems with braking so they should check out ok.

It looks great so far! Wow! I definitely could not have achieved this on my own.
If you do find anything for my brakes, I'll gladly include whatever they're worth with the return shipping.

                  Thanks again!

On your detent spring that you found. There was two of them on the rod, and you need a 1/8" ball bearing to go between the spring and the detent rod. You can pick up the bearing at ACE, or any good hardware store.

Carb's done but P-bucket won't let me log on to post the pics.

Took a quick look for the caliper bolts and have to dig deeper into the stash, I know I have them just gotta get a few minutes to locate them.

Austin, here is a pic of the caliper bolts I'll be sending:

I no longer need them or the calipers as I'll be using Ducati Monster discs and Yamaha FZR calipers on my SF.

                        Carb is done:

Let me know if that's all you need before I box it up.

I looked and looked but could not find where the spring, bearing, and washer were supposed to be! Do I need to put it back? Will the carbs operate without it?
                                Here's what I found

                                Here's my #1 Carb

I began reassembling the carbs, and made a critical error at first!

It was satisfying to put in the shiny, new jets.
