I got tired of bumming rides while I work on my '80G so I went back to Simi Valley Cycles and dropped my wallet in front of that beautiful, one-owner, black XJ11 they showed me out back when I almost-bought a Triumph.
It was $2.5K out the door all legal and stuff with keys and papers in my hand so I rode it to the gas station, then home. There are a few issues like a small dent in the lower right-hand side of the tank; chrome trim missing on the air box; battery sensor making the warning light flash and turn signals that don't but it's a sweet little bike with new -- solid -- brakes, some soft bags, a windshield and new shoes and socks.
I still have to check it out before I actually go ride anywhere and at least fix the stupid battery sensor but for now I don't have to walk!
Nice windshield.
Tank paint looks good.
Less than 60K on the clock.
New tires but look like they've been sitting for a while.
I'll have to check the date codes and see how old they are but they look pretty good.
The dent.
Why of course I trust the stock octy and the floats.
With the tank bag.
Oh, yeah!
