Going for the Trifecta

Just about time to try for the Trifecta. Add Pikes Peak if I can. For me that would be pretty grand.

btdt: in June 2014 1,000 Islands on the St Lawrence Seaway XS North (3,000+ back roads miles on that trip)




btdt: in February 2013 and 2016 to Key West Rally (2,000 miles each trip)

Really amazing how a real nasty messed up POS can be turned into a runner. Didn't give it up easily for me mechanically and didn't give it up easily to Kurt on the fuse box & fairing wiring and the old paint mess. PO had done some curious things. In fuse box, with the paint, with the fairing wiring and previous radio & amp & speakers (a hack job) and also with mechanical neglect (carbs, brakes etc.)

Going to ride bike a bit today just to make sure it starts and runs and doesn't leak anything. Cold start & Hot start. It went to Key West ok so it should make Colorado i hope. Will start a Colorado ride thread. Hopefully the other riders heading to Echo Canyon campground will also post a couple pics of their journey on that same thread.
