The one closest to the top of the carb is the vent, the one closest to the float bowl is the fuel inlet.
You've got some serious cleaning to do there. I hope all the jets and emulsion tubes will come out.Greg

80 SG Ol' Okie;79 engine & carbs w/pods, 45 pilots, 140 mains, Custom Mac 4 into 2 exhaust, ACCT,XS850 final drive,110/90/19 front tire,TKat fork brace, XS750 140 MPH speedometer, Vetter IV fairing, aftermarket hard bags and trunk, LG high back seat, XJ rear shocks.

Thanks guys, really appreciate it! These are one the dirtiest sets I have seen but I am on the 4th carb and only twisted off one main jet and two rail screws.
I am dipping in Berrymans and also ultrasonic cleaning these and they have been a challenge!

In fact every set I refurbish the shaft seals get replaced
Your carbs look challenging but they'll clean up nice, GL
