I'm replacing the diaphragms on another members carbs and since this is my first experience with it I thought I would ask anyone here that has done it a couple of questions I have about the instructions in the repair section here.
1) It says nothing about it in the instructions but should some sort of glue be used to keep the slides from spinning inadvertently in the replacement diaphragms?
2) In the closing statement of the instructions it states that to check for leaks to hold push the slide up and hold your thumb over the vent and the slide shouldn't drop by itself. That makes no sense because there is a hole in the slide. The slide will still drop but not as quickly.
That statement would be a little confusing to someone who doesn't fully understand how the slides work. Just sayin'.
