Ok so I put the exhaust on the E this morning only to find the rear brake pedal contacts the exhaust about half way to the pivot point. Checked the books and I have everything where it's supposed to be but it still makes contact. The return spring tips to the outside and pulls the actater sleeve inward.
The end result is this:
So what is the secret handshake for the E rear brake system? I've considered several option like reversing the exhaust mounting gromets, but in my experience so far, if it doesn't fit easily, your doing it wrong. What am I missing?
The exhaust is pinned in exactly like it's supposed to be so I know it's not out of line, front to back. This stupid spring thing seems mickey mouse to me. I have it tucked under the foot rest bracket like it's supposed to be. To change it to one of the recesses inside the bracket compounds the angle and pulls the pivot point in farther.
