Geez, don't worry about me, I'm good

I didn't mean to detract from the fuel line clamp discussion. The stand tubes will go back on the petcocks some day. They were pretty well clogged a few years ago and I got all the rust I could out of the tank. I figured I'd let inline filters take care of it until they stayed pretty clean.

As far as the mixture screw, the XJ carbs don't have the tapered tip that tends to get stuck as in earlier years. My problem was it would turn back out about 1.5 turns then the threads would bind and not enough of the slot to overcome. Always parts to have left handed drill bits available.

Okay, back to the fuel line and clamp discussion.

Cool! Just making sure so you don't have your very own, "I ran out of gas! " adventure.

Well....the top portion that got buggered up left tiny pieces of brass that got wedged down in the threads. Screw it all he way back in and blow down in there the best you can with an air hose.......then back it out,DAHIK.....good luck......and I advise you at least put pinch clamps on lines at the lower fuel tees!

Just to be clear, it's good to have options, but I'm perfectly happy with the Motion Pro Premium Fuel Line and I'll continue to use it as long as it's available.

Thanks. I just ordered some along with the carb bling plugs from Mike's XS.
