I don't want a Harley sound, read the post bud.

Don't get your panties in a wad. Try a set of HD take-offs. They're slip-ons, and usually cheap at the dealer, as that crowd goes to Vance&Hines or similar for look/sound right from new. I've heard folks here picking them up for a little as $20pair from HD dealers. If too quiet, jerk the guts oughta' THEM.
81H Venturer1100 "The Bentley" (on steroids) 97 Yamaha YZ250(age reducer) 92 Honda ST1100 "Twisty"(touring rocket) Age is relative to the number of seconds counted 'airing' out an 85ft. table-top.

You'll find them brand new in the dumpster behind the Harley dealer.

I don't think it will work. My header pipes run down the side of the bike as far as the rider foot peg, from there it goes 2 into 1 into the megaphone.

If ther're 'sketti', Mac or 80 and earlier Standard header pipes OR XJ header pipes, slip-ons of whatever flavor WILL work. BTW, under the riders foot IS where stock headers and others DO exit.
ALL Special yr. header pipes AND 81 Venturer do NOT have a short extension off the collector for any slip-on type muff.

Nice!........ironicly, ALL the early 80's CB series inline fours had factory 4 into 4 pipes that matched or bettered that sound......I know....I rode them.

People use to hack 'em off right away in favor of 4 into 2.

And manufacturers are STILL making hideous, heavy and bulky exhaust pipes after all these years.

Think they can pack more onto this set up???? lol

They can't make 'em loud, so they make 'em look loud. 35 years ago stock pipes could howl pretty good.
