It's Spring/Summer time and the site is more active, so there are more active threads and posts....so as another thread it replied to, IT then moves to the top as the most recently replied to thread, etc., and so it's easy for a thread to get scrolled down quite far, and sometimes even to the 2nd page !
If you want to easily find threads you're interested in, just suscribe to them.
