  • Need pic of ride side under side panel

can someone send me a picture of the right side underneath the side panel? I bought a project 79 and when I removed the right side panel the wiring is a mess. Everything works but I want to clean it up. I'm hoping to get a picture of what it's supposed to look like.

    Hi MrHammer,
    If yours looks like this

Then you need TC's fuse block

What's the part called that you're using to hold the fuses? I searched fuse holder already

It's known as a blade fuse holder or blade fuse box here

These pics are of my '80G:

                  I opted to mount mine a little differently . . . cause I is

The new fuse panel mounting holes and bolt spacing are offset to the Eleven's

I used the mounting plate to battery box frame bolt holes

                  Clears the side cover

The next three pics show the offsets I remedied with the 1/8" teflon plate

#5 is the main 30A circut and to the right of it is a spare

                  Auxilary fuse mod

                  Most FLAPS have these...

                  ...which fit in here

                  Zipped tied in

                  Slotted the back for wires

                  And hooked up

                  Installed
1980 XS1100G "Dolly G" Full Dresser (with a coat of many colors )
                  1979 XS1100SF (stock-euro mods planned)
                  1984 XV700L Virago (to be hot-modded)
                  1983 XJ750MK Midnight Maxim (semi-restored DD)
                  1977 XS650D ( patiently awaiting resto)

Sometimes it takes a whole tank of gas before you can think straight.

Here is an ebay link to one that looks complete. Wonder if this would be good for me? I have the same model..

Why not get a box from TC like most of us seem to do? That's what I did.

TC is the way to go

TC gets them out quick and they are very reasonable I just had 2 delivered in a few days from order. They fit great I just put one on this morning in just a few minutes

As the last two people said TopCat here sells them for like $11 or something. Just ask him.

I had the wiring mess. Then made it cleaner and uglier at the same time by going the inline fuse holder route. Last year I got the fuse block from DelCity and installed that. I didn't label like some did, but a little confusion makes it more interesting, right?
