I'll try but it usually takes about 15 minutes or so to get the adjustments done.

The other thing about the larger pilot hole is, you may get popping on deceleration when you get it running right. At least that is the way mine was. I don't think it "mists" to fuel properly and is more of a drip. With mine, I cared more about getting the idle right, than the midrange when I adjusted pilot screws (and vacuum synched of course).

The midrange (1/4 to 3/4 throttle) has very, very little to do with the pilot screws. The midrange is fed through the 3 small holes behind the throttle plate and metered by the pilot jet.

The popping is caused by a LEAN condition on decel. That's the only time I will mention counting turns on the pilots. After all the vacuum adjusting I've found that it leaves the idle mixture just slightly lean (popping slightly on decel) so an extra 1/4 to 1/2 turn open puts it pretty much right where it should be.

Don't worry about that. Our intake manifolds do not use threaded nipples. So, don't worry about buying them.
